Editorial Policy
This policy describes how LongCat Community Hub approaches editorial independence, source attribution, labeling, and corrections.
This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meituan or LongCat.
Editorial independence
LongCat Community Hub is an independent third-party resource. Our editorial decisions are made separately from LongCat, Meituan, or any other organization mentioned on the site. Sponsorships, partnerships, or affiliations that could affect editorial judgment are disclosed.
Facts, analysis, and testing
We distinguish between different kinds of content so readers can judge reliability:
- Source-based facts: statements traceable to an official announcement, repository, paper, license, or other primary source. These are presented with citations or direct links.
- Editorial analysis: interpretation, comparison, or explanation produced by this site. It is labeled as analysis and should not be read as an official statement.
- Independent tests: benchmarks or evaluations conducted by this site, with methodology and limitations disclosed.
Source hierarchy
When selecting and citing sources, we prefer the most direct evidence available:
- Official announcements, technical posts, and project pages from the relevant organization.
- Official repositories, license files, and release notes.
- Original research papers and technical reports.
- Reputable third-party reporting or analysis, clearly labeled as third-party.
- Independent tests conducted by this site, clearly labeled as independent.
Citation and linking
Where practical, we link directly to primary sources so readers can verify claims. Source links are checked when content is created or substantially updated. A broken or outdated link does not automatically invalidate the underlying claim, but we aim to correct or replace links when alerted.
Dates and verification
Content may show a publication date, an update date, and a last-verified date where applicable. Model overviews and guides display a last-verified date to indicate when the cited information was last reviewed against sources.
No speculation as fact
We do not present rumors, speculation, or unverified claims as fact. When discussing uncertain or future developments, we clearly label them as speculation, rumors, or unconfirmed information and explain the basis for the discussion.
Corrections
Factual errors, outdated citations, and broken links may be reported to contact@long-cat.org. Verified corrections are applied to the relevant page, and the last-verified or update date may be revised. Significant corrections are noted when relevant.
Relationship to the source policy
The Source Policy defines how sources are classified, verified, and labeled. This Editorial Policy focuses on editorial judgment, independence, and content standards.
